Galley window is the magnificent harbour station in Cherbourg
We left Cherbourg this morning, thank goodness the sea was calm and got to St Vaast at midday, we had to hang around for an hour till the lock gates opened and we could get into the marina, its drizzling and raining now, but we are all tied up and going to go ashore for a little look around. Better weather hopefully tomorrow. We are staying here tomorrow then the next day going on to Deauville, a couple of days there because it is so nice, then to Fecamp then await a weather window to go across the channel to Brighton.
